Where is the San Jacinto River?

The San Jacinto River, located in the outskirts of Houston, Texas, stretches from Huntsville to the Northern inlet to Galveston Bay. While we are interested in the entire river system and it's tributaries, we primarily concern ourselves with the section of the river from the Lake Houston to the Lynchburg Ferry.
