Banana Bend West -- After the Flood
Western Banana Bend suffered high losses during the flood. High water damage and large sand deposits
were the major problems. Swift moving waters deposited as much as 8 to 10 feet of sand dunes in
yards and under houses. Access canals for house not directly on the river were filled, land locking
residents' boats.
